The 2008 Independent garden centre trade Show and Conference in Chicago is already proving to be the event to be at this year. Keynote speakers include Diarmund Gavin the Irish Landscape designer talking on Landscaping on the Home front Diarmund is recognised as one of the most adventurous designers on the planet. On Thursday John Stanley will be the keynote speaker and will be revealing new incites into how to attract Generation X Consumers into the garden centre. This will be based on research work being carried out in the USA and will be revealed during this presentation. The talk will be entitled “Turning Generation X money into Garden Centre Dollars.†Other speakers include, from America, Ian Baldwin, the Californian based consultant and Corrie Bordine ,the owner of Bordine Nurseries, from Canada, Bill Bowen from Terra Greenhouses ,near Toronto, will present ideas on how to develop your garden centre. From across the pond comes Jim Bradley from Mid Ulster Garden Centre in Northern Ireland,John Connell and Gary Wilmer from England who will talk about green garden centre design. A collection of speakers from Australia, USA, Canada and the United Kingdom will ensure this is the conference session to be at in 2008.
