Have you noticed that what was old is now new

It was Robyn Waters, the Counter Trends guru who brought to my attention that one trend is taking place at present is that old things are back, they are new again. Her examples really show a trend taking place in the marketplace. Vespa Motor Scooters When I was a teenager Vespa Scooters, from Italy, were really “cool” (except they were “hot” then). Now Vespa are back and “cool”. The company has a challenge keeping up with demand and the vehicles are sold through their own boutique stores. Mini Cooper Once you got bored of the scooter as a 60’s child you progressed to a mini car. The Mini is back as the “cool” car to drive around your neighbourhood. Campfires In the USA and Canada you sat around the camp fire telling stories. Now, the latest gadget for the garden is a purpose made camp fire unit that you can install and again tell those stories. Sunserveria (Mother in Laws Tongue) In the plant industry the Sanserveria was a 1950’s plant, it really went out of fashion. But, with the introduction of new, funky containers the plant is back in fashion and really shows off those containers.
