Global Consultant is Entrepreneur of the Year in WA

lamunda company John Stanley Associates has been awarded Western Australia State Winner in Small Business Champions for Educational Services and its founder, John Stanley, has been awarded Western Australian Entrepreneur of the Year 2009.
The small family business is better known in the UK, USA, Canada and Europe for its retail and retail tourism consultancy and conference speaking, than it is in Australia.
John Stanley regularly speaks to full capacity audiences in the USA, UK and Europe where delegates rush to hear his words of wisdom. In Italy this September, he was given the accolade of being the best presenter the translator had ever worked with.
“We were thrilled when we learned we had won one award, but to win two prestigious awards in the same month is fantastic,” said John Stanley .
John and his wife Linda, who is the marketing director of the business, will attend the National finals in Sydney in November, where they will represent Western Australia in their categories.
The awards were in recognition of John Stanley Associates success in providing training, conferences and consultancy to retail and retail tourism businesses in over 26 countries. Their success in 2009 comes after John was voted 14th of the Power 50, the 50 most powerful and influential people in horticultural retailing in the UK in 2008, the only consultant and non-UK resident on the list.
John’s focus is on the customer and how providers can grow their businesses by best meeting customer needs in store layout, merchandising, marketing and customer service.
John and Linda have a passion for helping businesses reach their potential. “It is very satisfying to see our clients win awards as a result of our consultancy. Now we have won two awards, it’s brilliant,” said Linda.
