John and Linda have just spend three months working with the retailers in Poland, Hungary and Czech. This is a part of the world that is looking for new ideas to develop their businesses.
Poland is particular has survived the financial crisis better than most countries and there is a buoyant attitude in that country. The last few years in all these countries has seen a large influx of retailers from abroad. German, British, French and Spanish retailers have all taken their share of the market place. This has been at the expense of local retailers who have not had the retail skills in recent years to fight for their share of the action. That is now changing with local retailers developing their strategies and starting to claw back some of the business lost. John and Linda worked with local retailers to grow their market. This tour has resulted in all the countries inviting them back to do more work with the industry.
Local retailers, like in other parts of the world have the opportunity to grow the market as more and more consumers select a local business as their preferred outlet
