Retailing in Boston, USA

Boston is one of the older cities of the USA and famous for its side street retailing and cafes. Early February may not be the best time to go retail discovering in this city, but at least there are no crowds.

Most cities in America are not designed for walking tours- Boston is.

There were two spots that were on the must-see list. Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Boston Marketplace.

Faneuil Hall Marketplace has the history and architecture, but from a retail perspective Boston Marketplace has authentic retailers and is the place to go for ideas.

This is the city market where fresh food retailers erect market stalls outside and artisans have retail shops inside.

The attached series of pictures will give you ideas I discovered, but the most memorable idea is how to change a wheelbarrow into a seat for your customers. I can see this concept appearing at Chestnut Brae.
