In my presentations over the last few months I have been promoting that all retailers need to start thinking like Zara, the Spanish fashion retailer. This company takes a product from invention to store in two weeks and can turn fashion clothing in two weeks. A formulae for success. It is now official. In the UK they have been voted the countries best retailer, ahead of John Lewis, Marks and Spencer and Tesco. If you have never studied Zara, it is time to visit one of their stores and start monitoring what they are doing and how it can be adapted to your business. Look at how they put ideas together in merchandising and display and how often they are changed. This business understands its consumer and how to make the sale.
