Do not think outside the box..throw the box away

This is a message that I have been promoting of late and I have come across two new suppliers to the garden industry that were not part of the industry and hence did not know what the box looked like. As a result they invented unique products for the market.

One supplier comes from Oregon and the best way I can describe his product is large lego bricks to design small garden or patio features. This product has a niche market with Millennial’s and older consumers who can only garden on a table.

The second inventor invented a garden pot that fits in a Pizza box. This means when the consumer moves house they simply collapse the pot and put it in a flat pack box.

I mention these two product as I believe we will see a lot more new products that look simple, but have been developed for a new market of urban consumers who want transferable products.
